RELEASED IN 2005 and directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, "House of Wax" is a horror/slasher about six college students (4 dudes and 2 gals) who drive from Gainesville to Baton Rouge to attend a crucial football game. They end up camping in the woods somewhere off I-10 where some of the party discovers a mysterious town in the sticks that has a curious House of Wax. The police, having learned about everything from a guilt-ridden Averill, race to the museum as Scott returns and battles Igor, who attempts to decapitate the former using a guillotine featured in one of the displays. Arriving just in time to apprehend Igor and save Scott, the police break into Jarrod's workshop.

After being featured on Gilmore Girls and Dawson’s Creek, he joined One Tree Hill for six seasons, briefly returned in season 7, then again for the final season in 2011. While on the show, he starred in feature films including House of Wax and A Cinderella Story. He returned to TV as a lead in CMT’s Sun Records in 2017 and had a recurring role on season 3 of Riverdale in 2019. Jarrod overhears her and claims he based the figure on photos of Cathy he saw in the newspaper. He then hires Scott, who is a sculpting protégé of Wallace, as an assistant and asks Sue to model for a new Marie Antoinette wax figure, as she strongly resembles his earlier one. Believing Cathy's body was used to create the figure, Sue talks to Detective Lieutenant Tom Brennan. He agrees to investigate Jarrod and his museum and Sergeant Jim Shane recognizes Averill as criminal Carl Hendricks, who is wanted for breaking parole.

With Jarrod presumed dead, Burke is able to get all of the insurance money for himself. A disfigured man in a cloak strangles him and stages the murder as an act of suicide, and a few weeks later the same man murders Burke's fiancée, Cathy Gray. Her unemployed roommate, Sue Allen, comes home and stumbles upon the murderer.

They eventually follow Bo back to his house to get the fan belt; Carly waits in his truck while Wade goes inside to use the bathroom. Wade is attacked and knocked unconscious by Bo's twin brother, Vincent, who wears a wax mask to cover the facial disfigurement he has from where they were once conjoined. When Carly notices Bo's truck has a broken headlight and realizes he was the one who visited the campsite, she flees from the scene, chased by Bo who catches her and takes her down to the gas station cellar. Murray was well-known before landing the role of Lucas Scott, Tree Hill’s brooding basketball player.
The cuts received by the stranger when they were in the bathroom are stitched up. Carly waits inside Bo's truck but soon comes out anxiously waiting. While waiting, she notices one of the truck's headlights is missing, just like the truck she saw last night. Back at the gas station they are reintroduced to Bo, whom they met at the church. Bo informs them there are no 15 inch fanbelts at the gas station, however there are some at his house.
